Guidance only

Cooking Times provides general cooking guidance, timing calculators, supplier information and food-related content. It is not professional culinary, medical, nutrition, legal or food-safety advice.

Cooking times are estimates. Real results depend on food size, shape, starting temperature, oven accuracy, BBQ setup, weather, equipment, stuffing, bone-in or boneless cuts, and many other factors.

Your responsibility when cooking

You are responsible for checking that food is safe before serving or eating it. Always use a suitable food thermometer in the thickest part of the meat or food, away from bone, fat or gristle where relevant.

For poultry, minced meat, sausages, burgers and other high-risk foods, check that food is cooked through, steaming hot where appropriate, and that juices run clear where this is a relevant check.

If you are cooking for vulnerable people, including children, older people, pregnant people or anyone with a weakened immune system, take extra care and follow official food-safety advice.

Accounts and saved plans

If you create an account, you are responsible for keeping your login details secure and for checking saved plan details before relying on them.

Shared meal plan links can be viewed by anyone who has the link. Do not share a plan link if you do not want other people to see it.

No guarantee of outcome

We work to keep information accurate and useful, but we do not guarantee that any timing, temperature, method or supplier information will be complete, current, suitable or error-free.
